Writer & Narrative Designer
The story is set in the ruins of an Ancient Rome underground temple. According to a legend written in verse, the affluent town where the temple is located was cursed during some festivities to celebrate its people's prosperity. The wine had been poisoned and everyone who drank was blindly possessed by greed and delirium. This urged the wealthiest people of the town, including the Consul, to hide their valuables underground. The player is put on the shoes of an explorer that must uncover the truth behind this legend while they try not to fall victim to the same curse. The storytelling is done through the verses themselves, as well as environmental clues, and two endings are possible.

Game & Level Designer
The gameplay itself is based on simple exploration and interaction mechanics, similar to other so-called "walking simulators". Players must advance through the world by solving puzzles, riddles, and searching for clues around the lavish environment.

Sound Designer
Immersion into the game world and its story is achieved through several environmental sounds and ethereal musical cues. As the player progresses and discovers valuable clues, a new verse of the legend is played. Each verse consists of the narration itself (voice-acted by myself), together with other reverberated ambience sounds that take the player back exactly to the time when the town descended into madness.

Entry for the Level Up Game Jam 2024, themed "Collective Intelligence VS Collective Madness". We are planning to release it as a full game after adding new mechanics, a larger outdoor area, improving on the puzzles and level design, and adding more depth and detail to the legend and the environmental storytelling.
